The Last Man On Earth The last man on earth - I never knew his name The last man on earth - I never knew from where he came And when he spoke to me - I could hear everything And when he looked at me - I could see everything I could see everything I could see everything, everything, everything….. The last man on earth - the last man on earth The last man on earth said we are alone But the last man on earth said that we were all alone And the sounds of a crowd are now just history And everyone earthbound is a distant memory Is a distant memory Is a distant memory, memory, memory….

Comatose In Grey The lights are going out On this dark and dreary town The life has drained away We’re all comatose in grey The place we used to meet Is now a ghostly street Too many shops shut down In this tired and weary town Comatose in grey Since you went away Comatose in grey So many towns look the same Just a copy with another name And the people spend every day All comatose in grey Comatose in grey Since you went away Comatose in grey Flashing lights, coloured scenes Now empty places and lonely teens Busy pubs and drunken dreams Seem long ago just memories This place has changed and not for the good I’d change it back……. If only I could Comatose in grey Since you went away Comatose in grey

Run & Hide 04:37
Run & Hide See the sun through the haze The smell of smoke and a blood red blaze Like shadows falling on a cloudy day My own true feelings slipping away…. Slipping away…. Stone grey walls come tumbling down Dust and rubble lie on the ground Masses huddle and sing their songs The time has come to right some wrongs…. Right some wrongs…. Every time I heard you calling It’s like my voice was snatched from me And when I tried to stop you falling All I could do was run away..... They can run but they can’t hide See the sun in winter time Feel the clouds lift from my mind Flames that burn all through the night You can run or you can fight…. You can fight….

Last Days Of Freedom These are the last days of freedom These are the last days of freedom These are the last days of freedom You’ve gotta fight for the right For your freedom Give it back, give it back now Give it back, give it back now These are the last days of freedom You’ve gotta fight for the right For your freedom Give it back, give it back now Give it back, give it back now You’ve gotta fight for the right You’ve gotta fight for your freedom

Magnetism 04:57
Magnetism You may fall from grace And the fall will be hard You may fall flat on your face And get your reputation tarred But you’ve got it all Your looks and your seduction You make men weak They may look and they may crumble You may fall from grace And the fall will be hard You may fall flat on your face And get your reputation tarred But then your magnet fails Then you will stumble But for now You’ve got your magnetism

Phobia 04:46
Phobia Emptiness or happiness either way you’ve got to confess You turned away to avoid your fate And now you’re here it’s just too late So don’t blame me just blame yourself Your phobia is bad for your health So look behind you in the shadows And suburban houses in reflective rows phobia I was so happy to see you In your gold ford cortina But all those paranoid ways Made for lonely days And I just don’t understand When I held your hand Why you couldn’t believe And you had to deceive phobia, phobia, phobia My electric dreams of sound and light Are only here to serve you right So don’t blame me if you hurt yourself Now just go back to your empty shelf And don’t blame me just blame yourself Your phobia…. It’s bad your health So look behind you in the shadows And suburban house in reflective rows phobia

Comfort Zone 04:16
Comfort Zone There’s a place where you can rest your soul Your body and mind - it will keep you whole Take some peace - rest your weary mind Step out of the world - it’s time to unwind In the comfort zone, the comfort zone In the comfort zone, the comfort zone Trust your will - you’re a survivor You can take on all pressure - you’re a provider There’s nothing to stop you But your own self doubt So hear what I say now and work it out Now it’s up to you - let your mind run free Sit right back and you will see There’s a place where you can rest your soul Your body and mind - it will keep you whole In the comfort zone - the comfort zone Welcome to the comfort zone In the comfort zone - the comfort zone But take good care in the comfort zone

1979 05:17
1979 Woke up one day with sound waves in my head The sound of something strange next to my bed A different tune coming from the radio Pulsing from the speaker - electro It stayed in my head all through that long school day Are friends electric is all we had to say A man outside smoking a cigarette A tubeway army marching in my head It's 1979 again, 1979 again Feels like 1979 again It's 1979 again, 1979 again It's just like 1979 again

about

"The follow up to Electric Soup is here at last. The cover is a nod to one of the great electro albums, Gary Numan's 1979 album 'The Pleasure Principle'. It features favourite live tracks performed by us over recent years, finally collected together.

How it all began …. I woke up one morning in 1979 to the sound of my digital clock alarm going off ( the same one at the start of the song! ). I turned the buzzer off, tuned the radio a bit better, as the dial was erratic and I heard "Are Friends Electric" by Tubeway Army for the first time.

I was 13 and I was entranced by it, my heart beat a bit faster and I felt energised by the sound. I liked Punk, loved Ska and Two Tone, but this was when I truly found music and it found me, sitting on the edge of my bed in suburbia, that morning back in 1979."
